Here you will find photographs, maps, beautiful and unique documents, historically important documents, old and valuable documents, documents illuminating special topics or events, and documents that in various ways are relevant today.

We can only show you a few samples of the many documents in our holdings. The National Archival Services of Norway has a total of approximately 160 000 shelf meters of archives from various government offices. The oldest documents are close to 900 years old, while the most recent ones are stored on CD-ROMs.
