What Does the Catalogue of the National Archival Services of Norway Encompass?
In principle, the Catalogue of the National Archival Services of Norway encompasses all the archival material available for use at the National Archives or at the regional state archives. It contains information on the archives and on their creators, which are the organizations or individuals with whom the archival content originated.
What Information Is Included?
The information on archives is divided into several levels. The upper level provides a general overview of the archive, including its scope, contents, and any restrictions. The available series are listed here. Complete catalog information is available for many archives, i.e. a description of its series, archival items, folders, and documents. At the Archive Level, you can also find information on the creator of the archive.
