For those of you who are too far away to pop into the National Archives in Oslo and see the exhibition "live", we have made an online version. Here you can click on each document and read more about it.
Among other things in the exhibition, you can see the complete letter that the Russian diplomat Aleksandra Kollontaj, an eager feminist, revolutionary and lecturer, wrote to a Russian party colleague in 1923. In the letter she is frustrated with the half asleep, passive Norwegian women who knit and chat in stead of listening to her message. You can also have a closer look into the accounting of all the expenses for the tribute to the king at Akershus in 1648.
